Have you found yourself needing to log out of one Google or Gmail account just to log into another one in the same web browser?
Google just rolled out a great new feature for those of you needing to access multiple Google accounts. The only way around this problem before was to log out or use a separate web browser to access 2 or more accounts simultaneously. Here is how to get the new feature enabled in your Google account.
- Visit your Google account settings
- Under "Multiple Sign-In" click the edit button
- Read the important information about multiple sign-ins from Google and then click to enable the feature.
- Visit your Gmail account (or refresh it) and you should see a new drop down menu were you can switch to, log in and out of separate Google accounts.
- This new feature is super handy for computers that share multiple Google users or someone who has multiple Google accounts for any reason
- If you don't trust other computer users with your Google account/email/etc, remember to log out when you're done!
- This multiple sign-in feature works for: Calendar, Code, Gmail, Reader, Sites, and Voice features. Be advised that offline backup will no longer work if you enable this new multiple sign-in feature.
